What a Tourist Needs to Do in Auckland

Climb the Sky Tower, Auckland's calling card. It is a 328-meter high radio tower offering a magnificent panoramic view of the city.
Visit the Auckland Botanical Gardens. There are more than 10,000 plants from around the world and unique species found only in Polynesia.
Try Hangi. This is an ancient Maori aboriginal cooking method. Meat or vegetables are placed in a special oven underground. The whole process takes 3-4 hours.
Climb Mount Eden. This is a long-extinct volcano with a grassed crater. From the top you can get a photographic view of Sky Tower.
